What is the difference between counselling, therapy and inner work sessions?
Counselling Sessions Counselling session focuses on specific issues and is designed to help a person address a particular problem through problem solving or on learning specific techniques or strategies for coping with or avoiding problem areas. For example, coping with stress, managing anger, improving communication or relationship skills, or increasing self-esteem.
The goal of counselling is to guide, support and educate people to identify and find their own solutions to the specific problem they wish to solve. Counselling is usually short-term, usually 4 to 6 sessions.
Therapy Sessions Therapy session emphasizes the importance of getting to the root cause or start of a long-term problem, to solve a deep-seated issue or limiting belief. Therapy explores a person’s personal history, including childhood events, upbringing, and parenting, to see how it created certain unconscious belief systems and behavioural patterns that are affecting the way this person interacts with life, the world, people and self.
The goal of therapy is to help the person bring unconscious issues to a conscious level where he or she can be understood, dealt with and be free from limiting patterns that do not serve him or her anymore. Therapy is usually longer-term, where sessions can be continuous or intermittent over years.
Inner Work Sessions Inner Work recognizes that every person is sacred and has a spark of inner light or Higher Self in us. This is the part of us that has wisdom, love and power. It contains our uniqueness, gifts, talents and life purpose. It contains our full potential.
Inner Work is a self-reflection, self-awareness and self-exploration holistic process of personal growth and transformation that recognizes that the mind, emotions, body, soul and spirit are all interconnected. The goal of inner work is to help you remember, reconnect and rediscover this Light inside you; to come home to your True Self.

Your session goals
Your next therapeutic steps, including a customizable treatment plan, sessions frequency and direction
If your facilitator is not the right person that best fit your needs, she will work with you to get you connected to a more appropriate resource.
